Transparent Black NJ Neck-Thru Series Warlock!!! It's an import with a 3pc Maple Neck and soft Maple wings, 24 frets, 34" scale, B.C. Rich pickups... you can find out more on the B.C. Rich website!
Playability:
Very easy to play!!! Once set up, this beauty was like butta!!! I have an 80's Ironbird Bass that I played for many years, and this baby SMOKES IT!!!
Sound Quality:
If you play METAL, then this is for you!!! Super Thick tone even when in the studio... I had considered adding Bartolini's to this guitar, but DON'T NEED 'EM!!!
Durability:
Since it's pointy, you'll have to be carefull... I've already inflicted a couple of wounds, but so far this thing has been very solid for me!

I bought this bass for it's looks. I went ahead and spent the extra to get the NJ neck-thru, and I am glad I did. The translucent finish over the quilt maple is sweet! But it's still a dark enough finish, that it looks like gloss black on stage. The tone is perfect for what I got it for (metal), and everyone loves the look. I was afraid the look would be all it had, but this bass won me over with it's tone!
Model Year: 2002
Price: $500.00 (new)
Where Obtained: some place on ebay
Features:
AA quilted maple body, with a translucent black finish, and matching on the headstock. Very Nice!! Warlock Body, Widow headstock. Two sets of custom P pickups.
Playability:
Surprisingly easy to play. This is not a slap happy bass, but that's not why I got it. The bass weighs about 50 pounds (slightly exaggeration)but isn't as awkward as I thought it would be. It's actually fairly well balanced. The neck is quick, but not lightning quick. And after a couple hours on stage with it, I wasn't tired of it.
Sound Quality:
WOW! I wasn't expecting such low, driving, deep, throaty, massive sound out of this thing. I play through a Boogie M-Pulse600 (love it) and this thing just flat gets down and nasty. It's certainly a metal machine!! And the sustain............................. ........................................................ ......................................................... is awesome!!!! We finished our last song. I unstrapped, set it in the stand, and left. We came back on in a couple of minutes, and the thing was still singing that D. The crowd loved it!
Durability:
Well, it seems to be built better than a Sherman tank. The only problem I had was with the tuners. It wouldn't hold. But I tightened them up, and now all is perfect.
