It's a great book to learn how to play rock,it's deveded into different sections depending their feel, slow ballads, guarter note rocl feels,8th note rock feels,16th note rock feels, rock shuffle and boogie bass lines. the main advantage of books like this is that you'll learn each stuff during a song, not just a firr or such, and the cd helps to find the groove in a band. ther are some mistakes in typing and notation which i don't like, and another problem is that the exercises are not set for a permanent skill level, some are really hard for beginners to figur out, especially the second one in the 16th feel.but my overall opinion is that the book had a goal to make a well functional rock bass player out of you.
Suitable for intermediate bassists
