The book is instructional,i promise that it'll make a great blues player out of you,if you pay particular attention to what's being done in the book,as a pro i learned lots of things from this book.it's suitable for any musician who doesn't know much about blues bass.
the book has a cd which helps a lot for practicing and hearing yourself through a blues band, and it teaches you to find your grooves through the band.
some of the great advantages of the book are:
1-each section covers different material from the other ones and each one sontains a new and special aspect in blues, for example you'll learn walking basses in theslow blues section or 2 beat blues feel in the shuffle section.
2-there's a really valuable section in the book which you should play your own basslines upon what you've kearned through the book in several styles.and it's a treasure if you do it good.
ther are several variations through examples that are not mentioned in the texts and if you pay attention to them, you'll learn much more from the book.
there arw some mistakes in the notation which is the only bad thing that i saw through the book.pay attention and figur them out and try to play them just like you hear it.
