I considered Peavey Microbass, but wanted to get a new amp with warranty, and with the line in and out. I would love an amp like this in the 60 to 80 watt range. Its very simple and sounds good.
Price: $80.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Elderly Instruments, Lansing MI
Features:
Includes 3 band EQ (all 3 bands work!) Its solid state - one channel. Has tape in and out, and headphone jack.
Sound Quality:
I jam around the house, Beatles, Led Zep, original things, etc. I think this would be good for most 60's-70s music, and anything with a clean tone.
Ease of Use:
Its very simple. 3 band EQ and volume control
Durability:
It sounds good, but would need to be miked or lined into something else if you had to play with drums and guitar. It would probably work to play bass along with an acoustic guitar.

I chose this amp due to price. I wasn't expecting much out of it but I have been surprised at the quality of workmanship. I don't expect it to sound like an EBS amp but it does sound good.
Model Year: 2005
Price: $100.00 Canadian (new)
Where Obtained: Quest Musique
Features:
Just your basic practice amp. 15-Watt RMS bass practice combo with bass reflex cabinet. Custom-made 8 in. speaker. Cool retro design with burgundy top panel, black covering, and leather handle. Level control plus great-sounding 3-band EQ. Stereo tape I/O plus phones out.
Sound Quality:
Pretty good sound quality. It does sound slightly muddy at all levels but for being a $100.00 practice amp it's great. At higher levels there is just the right amount of distortion.
Ease of Use:
VERY EASY! It's not rocket science.
Durability:
I've had it for a few months now and it has survived all four kids messing with it. The fake leather covering is holding up very well.

Note: Zzsounds and Same Day Music call this a "mini" amp, and while it is small, it isn't close to a mini amp... a disappointment really, because this is why I ordered it, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sound, and now it is my main amp as opposed to my travel amp.
Model Year: 2005
Price: $80.00 (new)
Where Obtained: samedaymusic.com
Features:
Controls: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble Features: Tape In/out (you can connect directly to a recorder or connect a drum machine in), Headphone output
Sound Quality:
Very good in my opinion. I have not tried a 5-string throgh this so I'm unaware of how a low B sounds but a low E is punchy, warm, and clear. I play pretty much everything, but blues and funk are prominent, and it fits in. I went from metal to blues in one sitting and it was fine. It has some feedback at high levels, but nothing a noise gate didn't cure. It distorted nicely, but it is very clean if you play lightly
Ease of Use:
Very easy. Gain, Bass, Middle, and Treble. Nothing complicated. Someone might have trouble setting up Tape In/Out, though...
Durability:
I haven't dropped it off of a cliff or anything, but it is solid, fully leather covered. Seems reliable.

Well i thinks its possibly the best 15w ever build (okok, maybe a besa-boogie full-tube 15w is a bit better), at least for its price.
Model Year: 2002
Where Obtained: Thomann.de
Features:
It has a bass, mid, high and volume regulation, input, phones output, a line in (chinch) and an excellent virtual line out (chinch) and a 2 year warranty (it has a own ID in the handbook)
Sound Quality:
Unbelievable clean sound. A good basis for effects. You can use it for guitar, too. You even can use it for louder jamming with drums and guitar, the only disadvantage is a quiet humming when you play a 5-string on full volume and bass.
Ease of Use:
Its very easy to use. You dont need more things to adjust.
Durability:
My experiences with the durability are good, but i never did something stupid with it. But its build very durably, its fully fitted in leather. Rain hasnt huch chance to get into it.
