I love this bass. I would buy it again even at the full $730 dollar price tag. I also looked at a ESP F-204 and a BC Rich Warlok bass but this one had better sound quality and the price at the time was much better. If you can get this bass do it. It both sounds good and looks amazing. The explorer shape is one of a kind. Only BC Rich has cooler looking basses. Contact me for info on best prices. I have searched around a lot.

Features:
This bass has a mahogany neck on a korina wood body with a rosewood finger board. It is four stringed with two epiphone humbuckers. It has three volume controls no tone, although the pickup switch does change the tone slightly. It cames in Ebony or Ivory. I prefer the Ebony because the bass looks more like a metal bass. This bass plays like a dream.
Playability:
I love this bass because it actually feels like I have a real heavy matal bass. The pickups are very sensitive so you don't have to pluck the strings very hard, a basic touch will make noise. The only problem with the bass is that the neck comes way out from your body and could be hard to reach for shorter players. I don't have that problem because I'm 6'3.5". This is easily fixed by playing the bass lower with a long strap. I do this anyway and the bass is very fun to play.
Sound Quality:
I use a P.O.S. amp that has terrible sound quality and this bass still sounds great. I also use a ZOOM multi effects pedal which can enhance the bass even more. I play metal and this bass sounds great in doing so. I play a lot of Iron Maiden and I could not ask for a better bass to play songs like The Wickerman. There is however a slight buzz on the frets every once in a while if a note is not hit perfect. This is rare yet slightly annoying. It doesn't come up on the amp but you can hear it. This bass could be played for most styles of music but I wouldn't recommend this bass if you want to slap like Flea.
Durability:
It is built like a rock. It is solid and durable I have only had to tune it once in two months. All the hardware seems perfectly assembled.
