My overall opion of the Hartke B-15 Combo is average. With the following modification the combo would become an excellent combo. Larger chrome tuning knobs, better set of string, like Erine Ball round wound. Lastly a shinny plate to look like the guitars finish instead of shipping with defects.

Not being a beginner I found that with a little modification the Hartke B-15 combo could become not just a moderate combo, but an excellent combo. I believe that if the string tuning mechanizism was nickle and a little larger would enhance the appearance greatly.
The sound that I got when I received my hartke combo was adaquate, however when I purchased another set of strings the guitar became alive. the strings are the Erine Ball strings (45-65-80-100)round wound.
There were no problems with the amp.
I noticed that when I unpacked my guitar the plate that housed to tone and volume knobs were turn inside out. Probably a manufacturing defect.
It was part of a package, I need another one, but this is ok for now.

I use it with the Hartke SB-15, it was part of the package. I use it for general rock but it's good for jazz or slapping to. I guess it's pretty clean at higher volumes. I do definately need another one though cause it is small.
You do need to adjust a bit to get the right sound.
Pretty heavy duty, it works well, I even plug my cd player in it and use it as a sub woofer.
