P-bass clones, especially this Yamaha, have a hard time selling since everybody either goes for a traditional Fender or Ibanez, but with some better pick ups and well done action, this is a great alternative to the main stream axe. Its out of production now, and probably will be hard to find used, but check out the web, Ebay sometimes has these. You could also look at the new Yamahas, but personally I dont like them as much. If I lost it, id be sad and try to track another one down, I have a certain tie with this axe, it was my first bass and all.

A Japanese made P-bass clone, alder body, maple neck. You can either get black or natural finish with this bass. I have the natural which is beautiful, makes the bass look more expensive than it is, puts many clown colored basses to shame.
I keep my action pretty low, and this baby can handle it. The body is real light, makes it really comfortable. Action is easy to set, its just that the saddles have to be adjusted with a tiny allen wrench.
Its lighter body gives off a softer, more mellow tone compared to my heavy Japansese Jazz and other P-basses ive played. Its well suited for all styles but probably best for rock/pop. As for the stock pick ups, well, they're ok, but with after market pick ups, you'll be able to measure up to more expensive Fender and Ibanez basses. Im planning on getting some Seymour Duncans myself.
It may be light but its quite durable, everything is still holding up, and the natural finish is good at hiding scratches and dents better than a painted bass.
I would definetley buy this bass again if it's lost or stolen.
I have no idea what the difference is between the RBX250 and RBX250 II, I just know that mine is a II.
