I'm a big fan of older Peaveys. The quality is unbelievable. Peavey really did put out some excellent instruments back then.Give one a shot, you won't be disappointed.

This is a USA made Peavey Dyna Bass. I love this thing!
It is a 34" scale, w/21 frets.
A rosewood fingerboard. 2 Super Ferrite Pickups, 3 band eq, Schaller bridge. Some come available with a optional Kahler tremelo bar. Ultra thin neck 1 1/2 inches at the neck. The guts are super clean, it has what resembles a computer motherboard inside, completely shielded. Too bad there isn't a seperate Battery compartment.
This thingg is incredibly fast. Very comfortable to play as well because of the smooth contours in the back.
Setting the action is great because it comes with a neck tilt feature that can be adjusted w/ an allen key. Its located in the back neck plate.
I use it with a behringer 300 w amp, and a qsc power amp, running to a 4x10 and a 15" cab. The sounds you can get are limitless. It'll take a little while to dial in your preffered sound though.
Its more of a midrange sounding instrument. Very clean sounding, or it could growl!
Its 16 years old, and it looks in great shape. It has to be very durable because it still sounds awesome!!
Everything is original, and in great shape.
I had tried a lot of basses but I settled for this one because of the sound flexability and Peavey was willing to work with me in fitting it to my needs. They don't make these anymore so it would be hard to replace it. To make this guitar better, I would want a string through the body feature and a little bit smaller body. I picked out the color and it has held up great. They should have metal screw incerts for the entry cover in the back and a seperate battery compartment

Made in the USA. 21 frets, rosewood fingerboard.Has a deep cut body for extra confort. It has a switch behind the tone control to go between active and passive. This is great when your battery goes in the middle of a song and all you have to do is fick the switch and you are in passive mode.
I adjust the action to what I feel at the time. The neck is a very slim neck like a jazz. All my other basses don't even come close to the feel of the neck. It has a heal adjustment screw so to set the action. This is a great feature
I currently play through a SWR Workingman's 15. I don't use any effects but sometimes I use a Boss chorus.I first come out of the guitar into a DOD A-B box. One side goes to the amp and the other side goes to a tuner. I like this because I will go to the tuner side when I switch between basses. This bass has a lot of different sounds so it goes with many styles. The active side can really produce a lot of power for lows or highs. There is a small adjustment screw in the back plate to turn up or down the pre-amp. I find it is great for live but a lot of times, when I record, I go with a Fender P-bass because of the less possibilities of noise and filtering problems.
I keep all of my eqipement in excellant working order. This guitar is in great shape. I usually have to replace the input jack once a year.So far it has been over two years so that is pretty good! I have used in many places and conditions and it is still going strong.
