This is a labour of love by Carol. There is a great amount of useful theory I have not seen elsewhere. This is not for beginners but for intermediate to advanced players. There is no tab (Carol hates tab) but you can manage to gain a wealth of knowledge even if your reading skills are minimal. You will need familiarity with chord symbols. For beginning readers I highly recommend Carol's video course which I will review later. This is a unique book which will keep you busy for a long time and certainly stimulate fresh and useful ideas for soloing in any style and for jazz playing in general.I have selected intermediate as the level but it is suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
Suitable for intermediate bassists
