This book is a transcription book with tab and notes. It has made me a better player by providing me with accurate Stu Hamm tabs, which are very challenging. I refer to it every time I want to learn a new Stu Hamm song. My main style is rock and all of it's sub-categories and this is the style Stu plays. His level is Advanced to Expert, so I can play most of it but some of the techniques and their applications are very difficult. For most songs a bass with 24 frets is required. For one song a Kubicki X-Factor with a low-D extender or a bass with a "hip-shot" is required. This book did not include a CD or tape. This book only could've been better if it had more songs. My favorite aspect is the Performance Notes section. The worst aspect is that this book is out of print and very difficult to find. This is the only Stu Hamm book I own. If you want to learn these Stu Hamm songs...Flow My Tears, Country Music (A Night In Hell), Sexually Active, Black Ice, Surely The Best, Terminal Beach, I Want To Know, Count Zero, Call Of The Wild, The Urge, Who Do You Want Me To Be Today, Lone Star, If You're Scared (Stay Home), The Hammer...then this book is for you!
