While his first cd was a love song to 'bass' this one is more fun. This CD is based around several extended pieces about the sun plus several reworkings odf older tunes and a couple of musical jokes. It all seems to stem from the tours and the rapport that this group has playing music together allowing these musicians to stretch out and create some moments that need to be heard. Tony has also taken some time to share what the songs are about and to tell us what instruments were used to create some of the sounds here, Music Man basses, Stick, NS bass and cello. For me the best of the surprises here.is that Jerry Marotta is also a pretty good sax player. Who knew?
