Very durable, well constructed, meat and potatoes bass.
Does what it does well.
USA made, alder body, thick heavy big tuning machines,
One Humbucker, Passive, Vol,Tone, Maple neck and board, Candy red finish Polyester, standard Fender style bridge.
Felt much like a jazz bass. Good action, fast neck.
Two tones thats it, but very usable. This bass would sit well anywhere. Warm sounding.
Like all U.S. Peavey's, a Tank!
My favorite aspect of the bass is where the pickup is located. its in the back near the bridge so i can pluck and slap easier without going around pickups.

It was made in the u.s.a. It has 24 frets.4 strings. volume and tone. one back pickup. natural finish.
I like the peavey patriot because i can slap and pluck it till my fingers bleed. The neck is great because i can slide up and down the neck well.
Well, i dont own a bass amp. i also play guitar so i have a guitar amp. Its ironic b-cuz i'm the best bass player at my school and i dont own a bass amp. the sound is really nice.
This thing is very VERY durable.
This was the only bass i looked at because it was such a great deal and i couldnt be happier with it.

This is a reat bass, very easy to play and its in good condition, it has a red body with a black pickgaurd and a natural neck. it has passive electronics and a super ferrite soapbar pick up. its made in the USA and its as sturdy as an m1 tank. it is a classic p- bass with 1 volume and 1 tone control. i actually paid $150 for it and a 50 watt crate amp and it came with a custom hardcase...i hink i got a great deal
This baby is the easiest thing in the world to play..it has a perfect action and i havent found any flaws.
I use a 50 watt crate amp and i have a 7 band bass equaliser and a nice stereo flanger i use sumtimes...it hasd a great tone and i use it for mainly blues and rock.
Like i said this baby is built like a tank and it is in almost perfect condition for being 20 something years old.
Excellent beginner bass.
Fine backup Bass.
One of my personal favorites...also my first Bass.
I would swap with a Fender Jazz fretless neck from time to time, and it always offered a good tone for almost any application.

American made 4 string bass.
light weight mahogany body.
two piece maple neck. (a lil neck heavy...a bit)
Twenty one fret neck with full size Peavey tuners.
one Peavey Super Ferrite pickup (same as early Foundations, later T-20/T-40 basses)
Master volume, passive tone control (treble cut)
Bridge modelled after Fender (stamped steel, barrel saddles)
Natural finish, maple fretboard
Total weight under 11 lbs.
While the instrument was found in like new condition, there was very little wear.
The action was adjustable at the bridge, the neck had a micro-tilt adjustment.
The neck had a heavy gloss finish coat, so a lil sanding was in order the make this more "playable"
The neck offered enough of a profile above the pickguard to allow a thumb position along the last fret.
The pickup bezel is also wide enough to a thumb to rest comfortably...and man, I've got biiig thumbs.
The single pickup was located in the "sweet spot"...a lil farther up to the neck than a Music Man.
Good cutaways, allow access easily to the 21st fret.
Overall tone was a lil punchy in the midrange...a lil bright due to the maple neck...not as full bodied as a Precision, but more so than a Jazz bass.
Sounds like someone talking up a cheap wine, but it's true.
A very good beginner bass.
The bass itself will withstand a lot of abuse.
Unfortunately, Peaveys tend to find themselves in the display window a lil too long, and the pickguards do warp over time and climate changes. Not too noticeable with mine, but I know about the complaints...and I shop for used instruments all the time.
The Super Ferrite pickups will accumulate noise over time. They loose a lil bit of their presence, and become more sensitive to string movements (erroneous noise).
I had mine replaced with a Peavey VFL pickup (from the factory, a Forum bass P/U). Required a lil rerouting.
I would recommend oiling the body, if it has the natural finish...once in a blue moon. It will keep the climate effects to minimum.
Hardware is still A-OK.
I love it. great for beginners cuz i assume its pretty inexpensive elsewhere, and im positive ill still be happy with it years down the line

2 knobs, one volume one tone, nothin else but how much do you need. 1 pickup but its pretty clear. red body, black picked VERY warped but thats probably why i payed so little for it. only downside is its gonna be expensive to replace. but it doesnt effect the sound so no big deal. other then the pickguard it just looks nice
Its my first bass but i love. since i bought it played some expensive fenders and other basses and sure they were nice, but i felt so much more at home with my peavey. it plays wonderfully and i wouldnt trade it.
I just have one amp, but for what ive played (and i'm sure ive tried playing almost every type of music, whether i played it well or not is irrelevent ;)). sound is always clear and it sounds great.
This thing is a rock. ive dropped it i dont know how many times and ive never done any damage to it, and the tuning knobs are steady as anything so its fine.
