Great Underrated bass. I love Peavey's ..I own 2 others, a Foundation, and Palaedium!!

It's made in the USA, It's not thecheap korean Fury's you see now, it has passive P pickups, and a maple neck. It's light weight as the body is smallerr then a Fender P bass. Has an adjustable neck pocket to help get the action even lower.
Plays sweet. The maple neck is nice, and its so thin and easy to play. Great!
The stock pickups were okay, I switched them out and put in some Lace Sensor pickups, and now this thing sounds beautiful. It may have been an entry level bass when it was first concieved years ago, but it sounds better then any $400 fender MIM bass.
It's about 13 years old, and still looks like a champ.
Peavey's are so underrated.
Not the best bass, but far from the worst. Can take a beating, which is a bonus. and about the greatest selling factor for me. I can beat it against things and people, and it still sounds good enough to play. heh heh

Not sure where it's made
2 passive j? style pickups
just my good ol peavey
Havn't played many basses, being a beginner, but this one is fun, gets the job done. And covered in stickers, looks good doin it, even if i'm trippin over my own les claypool tribute goosewalk.. heh heh
Use it through my fender guitar practice amp... ha ha, yes, I'm trying to break it. It sounds ok, a bit too, twangy at times, but that's probably the amp, not the bass. Sometimes the strings rattle a bit much, but they're cheap strings, and an old nut.. so, probably also my fault, not the basses.
This thing will be the only thing standing after a nuclear war. I have dropped it down my stairs, stepped on it while leaning on things. and 2 out of 5 major smashes, picked it up and it was still in tune. Just gotta say, wow, this thing is made of steel wood or somesuch, ha ha
Overall Rating:

This is definately a begginers bass. Ive played far better basses Ill probably sell it.

My bass is a 1983 Peavey Fury P-bass made in America with maple fretboard, not sure of the body, with 21 frets and passive pickups and bolt on neck.
The neck is somewhat lose. Some one did some home brew truss rod adjustments, however the rod is easy to access. The action was too high when I bought it but I am lowering it.The neck is easy to play.
The sound quality is mediocre the only bright point is when the tone is aduster is maxed, popping sounds really good.
Fairly sturdy possibly a good backup bass.
I didn't look at many other basses as my price range was limited and I was a beginner (still am) when I bought it. All in all though I would buy this bass again as it hasn't let me down, sounds good, and just overall is easy to play.

I like a high action, because I'm a nut and this bass works wonderfully setup like this. My neck is warped but that was a previously existing condition when I purchased it. It has a thinner neck than most basses, which is a plus for me. I like the ease of playability on this bass. I've played better but I've played worse.
Beautiful tone considering the condition of the bass. I play punk/ska/reggae and I get the deep tones that I prefer. I've heard deeper tones but this works quite well for me. I do get some fret buzz but I kind of like the personality it gives it
Reliability is not something I even worry about. I've dropped this thing onto concrete from 2 stories up and it worked perfectly. I've stepped on my cord and yanked it out so many times and never had any problems.
