Progressive Bass Concepts is NOT a bad video, it just has a very, very bad first half. He seems to think that not only is the viewer unfamiliar with playing arpeggios in various patterns, but he chooses to spend quite a bit of time playing every possible pattern for EVERY 7th chord, which gets old. Not that its unnecessary information, its just most people either know it, or could learn it via a cheaper and more effective source (any typical bass fretboard book). Now the second half, thats a different story. He briefly and effectively discusses left and right hand technique, tapping and harmonics, and gives a few play along examples. He closes with an absolutely gorgeous song, "freeport jam". The closing songs is one of the best bass solos ive ever heard, he really lets go and feels his notes, all 2,525,252,355,745,734 of them, lol. its fair to say its worth the money to buy the video, but youll propably end up selling it for 5 bucks at your local used store. I recommend it, but if could have been alot better, lets hope he makes another.
