I would probably buy this bass again if it was lost or stolen especally because I don't have a big budget. This was the biggest bang for the buck that I could get, the salesman also gave me a free $20 gig bag and leather strap for free because he wanted to make up for the fact that there were the some scratches on the finish.
This bass would be better if it had locking tuners and maybe a whammy bar would be nice.
My favorate aspect of this bass is the neck it's really easy to use great starters bass. The worst thing would probably be that it's got a fairly limited range of sound, still a great bass for less than $200.
I also looked at the GSR200, but dodn't go for it because, 1)I got a good deal on the GSR100 and 2)the J pickip on the GSR200 sounded kindas crappy and i din't want to pay extra for a pickup that i'd have the volume down on all the time.

Agathis body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 4-string, 1 volume and 1 tone control, p-style pickup, passive electronics, grey metalic paint, p-style body, standard bridge, non-locking tuners.
Action wasen't bad when I got it but, my uncle fixed up perfectly, salight buzz on A string, fixed that too.
Very fast and smooth neck, cutaway is perfect, I can reach the 22th fret with no problem.
I played a bunch of squier p basses and they all had their frets sticking out wayy too much. The squier J bass wasen't bad, but I didn't like the neck. I also tried a bunch of peaveys milestones and even thought they were more expencive they didn't sound as good.
It has 2 cracks in the finish by the tone and vol knobs, which is why i got it for $145, it should have been around $200.
I use a Ibanez SW-20 bass amp and have yet to invest in some effects. Sounds just fine. I mean ther's nothing like a big 'ol peavey cabinet, but I just don't have cash for that.
I've dropped it a few times and suprisingly it's stayed in tune pretty nicely. Hardware is doing fine, knobs are ok but have a hint of instability.
This bass is very good, it's easy to play, but I think I'd like more of a smoother sound in it. I don't think I would buy this bass again, specifically because I had it customized, and rewired.

I got it rewired and a new volume control put into it, and that's about it, it has a rosewood neck, black, precision body. It has a string thru body, non-locking, generic tuners. Genereic Pick-ups in the H/H configuration. No tone contol. It has 4 strings.
This bass stays in tune for sooo long. It has a very nice sound to it, very good bass for playing slap bass on.
It has a nice, crisp, more extreme sound to it. More picky than usual basses
Everything on this bass in in very good condition, very durable bass... it's lived through alot (shows, practice, etc.)
I'd say this is a great bass overall, especially for beginners, with its low cost. I'd recomend it to anyone.

Overall Rating:

I bought this bass when I was very new to playing... I would not purchase it again, or recommend it to anyone else..... It was inexpensive, and it sounded ok in the store. I got what I paid for....

Agathis body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 4-string, 1 volume and 1 tone control, p-style pickup, passive electronics, black, red, or blue painted, p-style body, standard bridge, non-locking tuners...
Playability:

I used this bass as my "drop D" unit...meaning I set it up only for that detuned sound (Staind tunes mostly). It worked ok for that purpose.. It has the typical thin Ibanez neck, which I'm sure probably lead to the only real complaint I have with this bass....the neck cracked in less than a year of use...
I use a Peavey TKO 115S, a Peavey Minx 110, and Pignose Hog 30 portable.... Zoom 506II effects box, and dunlop cry-baby wah... The sound is ok for a beginner bass, but I would not buy one again... It is noisy with the Minx 110, but the line noise is not as bad with the TKO...
Durability:

As I mentioned earlier, the neck cracked within 9 months of purchase... I sent a note to Ibanez when I returned the bass for warranty repair and stated that I would be selling the bass as soon as it was returned to me, and would not be purchasing any more of their products...
This bass is a very good start up bass. the price is reasonble. it could be better if the sound quality was better

This is a great begining bass for the price you pay [way better that the squire p bass] it only has volume and tone control, 22 fret neck
It has fat frets and makes it good for sliding. round body is nice for resting on your knee. but the lnog neck also means it's harder to play when playing songs like lithium and metallica songs
Sound quality is average [you only pay $200]
Duribily is excillent rosewood fret board, maple neck, ash wood body. And the corlor i have is awsome metallic blue it has like glitter and stuff
This is a good bass for beginners and if you get a good deal on one get it ,otherwise just spend $20 more for the gsr200.

This bass guitar features four strings, 22 frets and a p-style pickup. Nothing fancy about this bass, its very basic. Volume and tone are the controls and it features a maple neck w/rosewood fingerboard. The GSR100 comes in black blue and red.
The only flaw i have encountered would be the single coil hum from the pickups when I play near my computer or keyboard. Other than that its plays well.
