I was looking for an inexpensive bass to try using a high C tuning and am very pleased. I would not hesitate to recommend this bass to any player beginner to pro. The only downside would be it a player just had to go with active pickups or electronix there ain't much room, but really you shouldn't need to.

This Korean made bass has a small solid basswood body with a bolt on 24 fret 35" scale Canadian maple neck with a satin finish with a phenolic fret board and medium jumbo frets. It has 2 pasive humbucking soapbar pickups with passive 2 volumes and a master tone. The body wood is basswood and it has a sunburst finish, the neck lip and face of the pegboard have a matching amber finish as well. It has chrome open back tuners in a 4 over 1 arrangement on a pitched headstock. A chrome MM through strung style bridge completes the package. For the under $600 list price this is a hard bass to beat.
I have this bass strung with a high C string instead of a low B. Now that the bass is set up it plays well and in tune in all registers. All 24 of the frets are easily reachable because of the deep cutaway. The fret board is wide and a bit flat but comfortable. The feel of the fretboard is similar to ebony, very classy.
This bass has a fat sound that I really like and I can get most of the tones I want using the volume and tone controls. Both pickups sound good alone or blended from slap to a nice bassy jazz tone. It responds well with external EQs and preamps and efx. I haven't had any problems with noise, even recording a solo piece in the studio was no problem and this bass has a nice voice.. I have used it in a jazz/funk keyboard trio, a rock/jazz/blues guitar trio and a rock group with 2 guitars and keys and it works very well for all of these situations.
I have been using this bass for several months now the set up is solid and it stays in tune well. It is solidly built and good quality components were used throughout so I expect it will hold up for years.
