Am I happy with it? Kind of. It does sound good in certain situations, but like a new girlfriend, you gotta spend serious time with it and it can be fickle!
Just my opinion though and we all know the famous saying about opinions and a------s!!! LOL

Effects Loop, and 6 knobs plus a sweep toggle switch. Knobs are, from left to right, Mode(low pass, band pass, high pass and mix selections), Response (fast and slow selections), Range (hi or low), Peak, Gain and Boost (off or on). Also and overload light. Comes with AC adaptor, and very brief instructions. Looks cool.
I have a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass and a Trace 200W amp. The Qtron is not so easy to get a good sound from. I wanted a wet drippy sound the other day and you'll need something else for that as this won't do it. THe peak and gain knobs must be moved very slowly as they can have a wide affect on the sound with even small changes in position. It took a while, but I kind of found a sound I like.
A few things that surprised me. For fast moving songs where you are fingering quite quickly, the envelope filter just can't keep up. The initial sound comes through on the first note, but then quickly becomes lost in the sonic mud. Works fine for slower playing where you allow the notes to ring. The filter seems to like this the best. Also when the pedal is kicked on, the volume jump is quite large. To the point, where quite honestly, it's a problem. It means that you can't use the pedal, for just the chorus in a song or whatever, because the volume differential is just so huge.
Honestly, I really thought that this would be the pedal for that funk sound I'm wanting, but I'm not too happy with it. Maybe I just need to spend more time with it, to tweak the settings, but, maybe I'll just sell it and keep looking.
Feel free to email if you've comments or questions.
Lots of fiddling around. Not my style, I prefer to "plug and play"!
Solid metal case. Could probably chuck it off a high building and it would survive. And if I can't find a tone with it, I'll be testing that theory!
