Pastmasters Volume Two

by The Beatles

Capitol

Description A great album, it spans the singles in the later years of the Beatle's work, starting from 1965 all the way to 1970!

You really cannot go wrong with the Beatles. They progressed from "I want to hold your hand" to "Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds". This album is a fine example of some of their best work.

The second installment of the Pastmasters albums includes some really great Beatle Gems. It starts off with the riff driven Daytripper(Great bass part!) and moves to We can Work it out, Paperback writer, Lady Madonna and than The Phycodlic and often overlooked Rain(Listen to this track the bass is killer). After Rain it takes a sharp turn to Harrison's droning Inner Light. This song which is so often over looked is just as good and if not better than Within You and Without You and Love You two a true Gem! After that we move on to Hey Jude, Get Back, Revolution(Great Heavy Beatles song!). the momentum picks up with old brown shoe, Don't Let me down, and finishes the job with Let It Be! But thats not all, for you Beatles fans who love odd and wierd tracks the last song on the album, You Know My Name(Look up the Number) is great. This album and its companion(Pastmasters Volume one) are great for the person who has every album and wants the singles. You can really hear the Beatles get more musical and complex right before your ears! For great songs, Rare tracks and takes(like John's Nature Across the universe) and kick a-- bass parts(C Rain!) The Beatles Pastmasters1 is it!
