I got this bass from a friend for a mere $120 and let me tell you, it was quite a deal. It's not much to look at (its wear and tear is obvious in the body), but the sound is great all in all. The only down side to the sound is that the highs aren't too high, but some tweaking could change that. The actions are comfortable and the neck is sleek. The only bad sides are the highs and the weight.

It is a heavy bass made of i believe mahogony and maple. It has a mohogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. 4 stringed with a multi-piece string thru bridge. One tone control and one volume. one Passive P pickup positioned in the mid of the body.
Great bass to play. The multipiece bridge allows you to achieve just about any action you want. The neck is sleek and very playable. Its playablilty easily stands up to the more pricey basses that I've played.
Using only a Peavey Microbass and a Hartke 90watt, the bass sounds really good, especially for the price i got it at. It has a full deep sound, good for rock, jazz and blues. The weakpoint is it's highs because, well. their not too high. Clean sound, even with the tiny bit of fretbuzz.
Very steady bass. i've drop it more than a couple of times and it's lived through it all. It rarely needs neck adjustment and stays in tune through it all. The jack is a little loose, however, and the durability is due to it's heaviness. But all in all, it is a rocksteady instument
AT THE TIME I WAS LOOKING AT HAMMERS ALSO FENDERS BUT THEY WERE OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE AT THE TIME. SO I COMPARED,TRIED OUT A LOT BUT WHEN I FELT THIS NECK I HAD TO HAVE IT. THE BASS COULD OF HAD MORE OPTIONS ON IT,IT IS VERY BASIC. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD BE BETTER IS IF THE CORD SNAPPED IN A LITTLE BETTER. MY FAVORITE ASPECT IS THE NECK. LEAST FAVORITE ASPECT IS THE CORD JACK. I HAVE FUN PLAYING THIS BASS IT HAS GOOD ACTION. AN WAS WORTH THE MONEY.

YOU CAN OBTAIN ANY ACTION ON THIS BASS. I PREFER A NICE LOOSE EASY FEEL. THE NECK ON THIS BASS IS INCREDIBLE. VERY SLIM NOT TOO WIDE. I LET OTHER SEASONED PLAYERS TRY THIS BASS THEY LOVE THE NECK. THIS BASS STANDS UP TO MORE EXSPENSIVE BASSES THAT I HAVE TRIED. THE ONE FLAW IS THE CORD JACK COULD SNAP IN BETTER
I PLAY THROUGH A PEAVY TNT130. I PLAY ROCK ALSO SOME BLUES. I FIND THAT THIS BASS IS WELL SUITED FOR THIS TYPE OF PLAYING. THE SOUND THAT EMITS FROM THIS BASS IS FULL AND MUSICAL. I ACCUTUALLY FOUND THE SOUND OF THIS BASS BRIGHTER THAN AN OLDER RICK I'VE TRIED OUT. THIS BASS IS NOT AT ALL NOISY IT HAS GOOD SUSTIAN. I WOULD SAY THAT THIS IS MORE OF A STAGE BASS.
THIS BASS IS VERY RELIABLE. I HAVE HAD THIS BASS FOR 19 YEARS. THE NECK IS PERFECT.THE WHOLE SET UP IS THE SAME. I BELIEVE THIS IS A COLLECTOR ITEM,THE COMPANY NO LONGER IS AROUND.THIS BASS HAS FARED EXCELLENT THROUGH CLIMATE CHANGES. I HAD IT IN CALIFORNIA FOR 4 YEARS AND I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN MA. FOR THE PAST 13YEARS THE CLIMATES HAVE NOT BOTHERED IT.
