This album.....simply amazing. I don't think theres anyone who can't get into this album, just so variation in song styles. Its definetly a must for any bass player, the line from Feels So Good is almost unmatchable. Not to mention then solo that got me to play bass in the first place =) Also if you havent seen 311 live, go see em!

311 is my favorite band, and each of their cd's is a new experience. Music is their old stuff, and is one of my favorite albums. The worst aspect of this album, as with any of 311's albums, is that it is too short! you get to the end and are in the mood for more! Feels so good is on this album. this is one of the first p-nut (311's bassist) solos i ever heard and it completely amazed me. p-nuts solos are all percussive (slapping). Besides his solos, his playing isn't perticularly amazing, but definately nothing wrong with it, and it compliments the music well. If you like this, check out some of 311's other albums, Transistor is probably my favorite.

WOW I have their other CD's and they have not changed yet. It is still fun and talent in your face. I love the bass playing . I would rate it a 4.9 out of 5. It is a great pump up CD as well. - I would recomend this CD to any 311 fans and bass players who want some fun bass lick playing.

This album, from track 1 to track 12 is amazing. It was not until I saw 311 live that I realized how much these guys actuallyjam. Before that night I thought 311 was OK, but that night changed my detire perspective. At the beginning of the show they played a couple songs of of their later stuff and the crowd was into it, but not 100%. Just as the sun started going down (and it was a beautiful night), Hexum began talking to the crowd. I'll never forget it. He said,"Who here agrees that this is the best time of the day. Right now. When the sun is starting to go down and the moon is coming out. The breeze is kickin'. This is when we start partyin'." And I'm not kinding, they completely took over. I have never seen a group of people captivate 30,000 people with such overwhelming positive energy. Not one person in the crowd could keep their eyes off the band and everyone had a smile on their face. I found out later that the last four songs that they did (my favorite from the night) were recorded on the "Music" CD. I picked it up the next day and have'nt stopped listening to it. If you have not heard P-nut play the bass yet, I think you would really enjoy the stuff he does on this disc. He knows how to lay down the funk. The message that these guys convey is very positive as well, which you don't hear too often these days. Especially in harder music like 311's. But these guys are sending out a positive message and I think everyone should share in it. Hope you enjoy. Peace
