This is a super bass! And it costs only a third of the John Patitucci Signature Model.
This is the best 6 string bass I played on (and I tried out MANY of them).

Active Eletronics (which is very nice), position of pick ups can be changed manually without screwing.
3 knobs (volume, highs, deeps).
Distance between strings is short. Neck adjustment was required, rasing strings too. IF you have than these adjustments, it plays very good. Thats why I rated it excellent. Without the changes made, it would be "very good".
This bass has a very versatile sound. Although considered as a metal bass with an edgy tone, you can also obtain a warm, deep tone. Rich in harmonics (if desired).
This bass will survive YOU!
It kills the Ibanez 406, that I owned before it. Its like spector without the snap. Can't compare it to anything, becuase it is so heavy and smooth, and so dense and deep. If I stuck to 6 strings, I would not buy if stolen becuase its only good at a handfull of things, thundering and soloing on high register. A must if you need two 6 strings. bass could be better with a fat bridge pickup like a musicman. A heavy sounding monster 6 string.

Not a big dream Theatre fan. Maple neck, A really thick ebony slab fingerboard, 24 frets, 6 strings, two truss rods, bass mid treble knobs, two humbuckers, brass bridge. A solid six. infinity dot inlay across neck
Real soft and smooth. Good for fancey playing, becuase its so easy. Easy to slap around. You can hammer this bass with everything you got, and it will just absorb it. You can have whatever action you want on this bass, very low for lots of piano tapping, or very high to cave people's chests in. When raised, lots of sustain. It's body is unusually thick. and the neck is thin and heavy, and holy fast. The bass is really amazing when it comes to playability. Got back problems? Don't play this bass in the store, becuase you'll buy it and destroy your back.
I used this bass with 3500 Hartke & 4 10's. Then SWR 300watt and 1 15. This bass does not growl, not even a little bit. This is a thunderous six string with alot of bass and low end. Really clear highs. Very transparent. Really loud. The mids just make the bass louder. Certainly a bass for some 15 speaker. Responds well to distortions, flange, and reverb. Warm overflowing scarey clear and low. The neck pickup will scare you, and make you vomit if pluged into an svt classic with 8 10's awesome for both stage and studio, noise from pickups respectively but not together. The complete opposite of an ernie ball. no mods considered, can't compare it to anything in its price range, maybe an obeise spector without the snap? Its like the Pattituci model.
Barrel input jacks hate me. Even this one. This is heavy and rock solid construction. Pots need to be adjusted tite like twice a year. the bass smiles at weather, I had it sweating from cold to hot with no change. Very sturdy neck. Easy to adjust, and it stays. Rods can be fully in loose position and neck will still have pretty low action.
I prove a lot of 6-string basses out there, but this one is the best with a better price.Awesome features,an amazing sound and response, and it looks great.Highly recommended.

It was made in Taiwan. An alder body with maple veneer.A maple neck with an ebony with abalone "infinity" inlay.A 35" scale, with 24 frets,of course,a 6-string bass with a solid brass bridge and gold hardware. Two active double coil Yamaha pickups, with volume, pan, bass, mid and treble boost/cut controls.A turquoise blue finish.Sleek and modernistic with comfy ergonomics.
A great and comfortable action, for speed playing and a wide open access to the frets near the body.Awesome playability.
I'm using a Line6 Bass POD(the rack version) and it the sounds great.A great response, and tones with ample rumble, punch and slice.Works great for studio and live situations. It is well-suited for many styles.
I use this bass a lot and always, believe me,always works well for me.Great intonation, good controls and hardware. It's reliable for steady live playing.
I looked a carvin, conklin, cort, dean. I got this one cause of the killer price($1200 instead of American price in a Austraila at $3000) and it looks great.
I'd buy it in blue if it was stolen for a change.
Just a bit more bass in the bass control but hey this baby hasn't got any flaws. Fav- inlay and the great feeling neck. Worst- None. Don't buy any other six string get this one.

The Action on this baby is super low and is great for slap and metal any type of music.
The neck is perfect and those people that say who cares about what type of fretboard, it's maple and it's the best. I didn't think it was gonna be so good, after getting the perfect sound it sounds great no matter what I was playing and it sound's about 50 times better than my RBX765A. Flaws- A bit hard to reach the higher frets but I've been playing for less than two years and only been playing my baby for a month. This baby has a thudding sound and is huge for slap.
Sovtex Cabinets 1 x 15" and 4 x 10" Hartke 3500 amp
This baby can be played for any musical style.
The sound is full just great.
Best sounding bass I've played. Just the warmth.
It's Noisy when I turn it past 8, I'm get a wireless or you'll go deaf.
I have to say it's perfect for both, but I've got great gear.
Great for playing live, don't adjust anything often, didn't need to adjust the trust-rod.
Need to get strap locks.
This baby is solid and will last a long time.
I think this is a great instrument, and it has a lot to offer at it's price.
I definitely would buy it again.
The only minuses are it's weight, about 5kg,and that it works only active.

It is a great instrument, very good for many musical styles. The active electronic works great, and I am still discovering new sounds.
The only two minuses I found is that it's electroics works only on the active way,so it eats my battery too fast, and it's weight(about 5 kg).
The neck is very well made so I don't feel that I play a six string bass.
I am using it with a GK 200MB amplifier, and sometimes with a POD Pro from Line 6,through a Roland amp.
It fits in a variety of stiles, from jazz to pop and rock.Recently I had a jazz recording gig and I've found out a sound that was somewhere between a fretless bass and an up-right bass.It sounds great also when I'm playing pop, rock or blues.
I bought this six string over other ones I was looking at because of the high end features (It's a John Myung Signature model) and the price. Although it was "used" it was still mint condition when I recieved it. At the price I got it for, it was better than other basses priced higher. Even at MSRP ($1500), it's worth every penny. If this bass was lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, I'd buy another, even if it meant paying MSRP.
This bass would be better with a widened output jack.
My favorite aspect? Playability, thin neck, flat fretboard, taps well, sounds great, looks downright sexy, it's such a great instrument I don't have a favorite aspect. Worst aspect, it's *real* heavy. Yamaha made the body real thick to compensate for the hefty ebony neck, and it's *still* kinda neck heavy. Plus the annoying output jack problem.

Made in Taiwan.
Alder body with figured maple. Ebony Fretboard, maple boolt-on neck.
24 fret, 6 string.
Volume, pan, 3 band eq.
2 double coil active electronics. Gold hardware.
Ruby red finish.
Bridge is solid brass.
I love the action on this bass. The Ebony fretboard is *fast*. I like it low because I can play normally, but if I want rattle or extra chunk, it's available.
Compared to my other basses, it's way easier to get around on. All my other basses have rosewood. I'm in love with ebony fretboards now.
It's only flaw (or a feature depending on your pov), is the recessed output jack. My Samson Airline AG1 no fit so I gotta do the cable thing with this bass. :-(
I use this bass with a Line6 Bass Pod, Boomerang Phrase Sampler, and go directly into the mixing board for the sound system at church.
This thing works anywhere. Really versatile. The Ebony Fretboard give it a crisper sound.
Once I get the guts, I'm thinking about having the output jack recess widened for the AG1 Transmitter.
Active pickups in general are noisy and sensitive, but the Double Coil config on this bass works pretty good at canceling noise.
I don't have any studio experience so I can't make a studio/live comparison.
This think is rock solid. Maple and ebony are pretty stubborn woods. I've never adjusted the truss rod (they got it right). The stock strings have been serving pretty well. Have only intonated them once. 'Course I've only had this thing about a week or so. :-)
