Overall it was ok. It was good to learn on and the price was convenient.

Squier Precision Bass by Fender. Was bought as a first bass. Bridge of very poor quality. Pickups configured poorly. Looking to buy something a little nicer now. Problems with the jack socket.
Playability:

The bass has a higher action which actually made it preferable to play in extremely low tunings, ones that were often inconvenient. Some of the frets buzzed as well and were extremely sucky to play on in the upper registers. The pickups were set way to high up out of the body and caused a lot of hum and often made contact with the strings, that however was easily corrected with a screwdriver. I think the bridge added to the action problems a lot. The bridge REALLY REALLY sucked. Really.
It sounded ok. It was pretty versatile as far as sounds go, and you could get various tone out of it by configuring the amp, but overall it had a bit more kick or drive to the lower frequencies.
The jack socket gave me a lot of problems. The jack wouldn't make the connection. That's about all with that though. It took a good beating I'd say. The paint and the finish and all were pretty durable. The strap locks were a bit small though, I should've gotten caps.
I bought this bass as a travel

It was part of a combo package which included a Fender 15W Amp and gig bag.
I have found this to be a good deal for a beginner bass and amp system. You have enough to see if this is what and where you want to go before investing a lot of money.
I am fron the old school of rock and roll of the late 60's and 70's. It is well suited for me to play along with songs on my computer and cd player.
I beleive that with a a suitable larger amp, this bas would do nicely in a band on stage.
I also looked at fender basses. But this bass is like the same exact thing and cheaper. So I bought this one for its price, sound, and durability.
I would buy this bass again.
The last fret on the E string needs to be fixed. And the strap locks need stay locked.
My favorite aspect is it's durability. There is no worst aspect on this bass.
It's the best bass if you dont have a lot of money.

There are better basses out there, folks.
No modifications needed.

Good for stage performances because of the fact that it's a pretty durable bass.
Reliable for steady live playing.
Needs to be tuned about once every 5 days.
Strap locks need to be tightened once in a while.
Fares well in climate changes.
Alright, not the best, i should have gotten a jazz.

I think that its Ok as a beginners bass. It has loads of fretbuzz, and it has a grounding problem, but thats on my crappy amp. Sometimes it sounds good, sometimes not. I think that baltic blue is the best color there is for this bass.
Playability:

It has the mega fretbuzz. But, if it was of real quality I would like its size.
Sound Quality:

It sounds ok, sometimes. But, I have a crappy Crate amp, so I couldn't say for sure.
I got this as a present, so I didn't choose it, but seeing as how it was my first, i love it. If it were lost, i would buy something better, though. It's best feature is its versatility, but it lacks respect. Few bassists play Squiers if they don't have to. Move along asap if you have one of these, but if you can't, you won't be in bad hands.

I think it's american and the neck is maple. It has 20 jumbo frets and 4 strings. It has a volume and a tone knob. It has one p-style (split?) pickup in the middle. Passive electronics, Fender standard ol' p-bass pickups, baltic blue finish, precision body, regular neck, and regular tuners
I think it's a great playing instrument. By far it's not the greatest, but it's good. Its major flaws are its lack of a full 24 fret neck and it's sorta neck heavy. I think it's the perfect starter bass, but one should move on fairly quickly after that.
It's not the greatest sounding bass either, but with new strings and a decent parametric EQ, it's uber cool. Its sound is pretty warm, but it can go as dark or happy as you need. If it has one great asset, it's versatility to a degree; it can only go so far
It's a rugged little guitar. I've never really had any problems with it in a year and 2 months. It fares well in climate changes and the hardware stlii works quite well.

I'm not sure where squire from. But its a good begginers bass. If you change the tunning it keeps it. Unless ur psycho on the thing. I had mine over a year and it plays damn good. I recomend it to any beginner
Good sound if u get a bigger amp
I would Buy this same bass again if something would happen to the first one.
