BEST BASS EVER MADE I WISH THAT MADE BASSES TODAY LIKE THEY DID BACK THEN, A NICE SOILD BASS. (I wanna buy another one some day).
Model Year: 1987
Price: $315.00
Where Obtained: Ebay
Features:
Made in Japan. It is a neck thru design the neck is 5 layer maple-mahogany-maple-mahogany-maple the sides are made of Canadian ash, and it has a clear coat finish. It is a 4 string bass with a single pickup in the middle with a 6 way tone switch and a great feature that all active basses should come with an active/passive switch it has a natural finished that has turned from red to a nice brown that bridge is soild brass the lay out is simple 1 vol,1 tone an active/passive switch and a 6 way tone selector and a battery lite that blinks and when the batteries are low it will stop blinking then you can switch to a passive mode. ::UPDATE:: I had to replace the electronics on this bass about a year ago as i was getting noises from it, so i replaced with a bartolini pickup and seymour duncan 3 band Music Man eq.
Playability:
This bass came to me at a perfect setup just some truss rod tweaking that is all.
Sound Quality:
It is a great bass I play through a Mesa Boogie 400+ and a 2x15 custom made cabinet Only 2 effects Electron-harmonix Big Muff, Morely wah. Best bass I've EVER played better than any thing on the market today.
Durability:
I play a mix of stage styles, Cliff Burton for Head baning, Jason Newsted and Rex Brown. IT HOLDS UP SOLID, AS A ROCK !!!!!! Stock tuning heads and all orginal hardware and electronics.
