I chose this amp for the size and sound quality, I have used it to gig and also as a rehearsel amp with different bands. I often get asked when I show up "is that what your playing from?" and my reply is always the same "yep" by the time the jam session is over most musicians are very impressed with the sound quality. And best of all when finished just pick it up and go (its easy on your back).
Model Year: 1989
Price: $150.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Music Store in Michigan
Features:
This Amp is very nice for the cost. With a volume, treble mid, and bass control. High and low inputs with an effects send and return a line out to connect to the PA and a head phone input. The amp is ported in the back and it makes a nice place to put your AC cord when done playing the amp is Solid State.
Sound Quality:
I play both 4 and 5 string bass w/active pickups many different styles of music. It is well suited for rehearsing with a band or giging in a small club however I would use the line out and get into the PA for larger places.
Ease of Use:
The basic design of this amp is outstanding not much bigger then the 15 inch speaker that the case is built around. It doesnt take much time to get the sound you are looking for.
Durability:
This amp is built like a tank for being so small it is pretty heavy with the carrying handle on the top its easily transportable and the metal screen covering the 15 is very heavy duty.
