I finally got a hold of this album...and I must say, I'm impressed. Great music with complex melody and harmony. Excellent bass playing on it. If you can get a copy, then do it. You won'tbe disappointed.

This is the groups first and arguably most famous album. The record was recorded after the band had only played together once. This raw energy of four musicians getting together for the first time is caught on this infamous recording. The band came together out of a fluke meeting between various band member while on the all were on the road with other groups. A date was set, the recording made in one day, and it went on to establish the band as Canada's biggest electric jazz group with a win at the 1998 Juno Awards (Canadian Grammy) for Best Jazz Album. Their next album Metalwood 2 also won the following year. Everyone has their fingers crossed for a never before achieved 3peat with the newly released MW 3.
