This is a very good CD. It is a big step up in recording quality from their other releases. I like the songs and the riffs. The bass lines a OK,

Blink 182 used to be a pretty good pop-punk / punk-rock band, but with the appearance of this CD it all came cleared: they selled themselves to the MTV. - Poor music - Poor techniques - Poor lyrics Very bad indeed... but if you are a 13 year-old kid you will love this!

I agree with the statement "decent album by decent band". i have argued many a time that blink182 has little talent, but still sounds very good, and this is why i enjoy them. recently, i have started to notice that they would be fine if they didnt have so much music that is quite repetitive. since this is a bass site, i will say that i HATE mark's basslines!!!!!!!! can't he be a little more creative. i realize some would excuse his lack of talent by saying he sings, and i know this is hard. i also sing in my band, and i can still manage with pretty difficult basslines. this seems to be a perfect example of a band with two memebers who decided they were good, but wouldn't be considered a band without a bassist, so they asked a friend (mark) to learn bass for the band, but he was a lazy bastard and didnt know anything about the purpose of bass, and wrote crap. also... all of their music is about love, but they are all like married or have steady girlfriends. whatever. the best description of this band i have found is watered-down punk/pop. ya... i'd say that fits. I wouldn't suggest buying much of their stuff, but if you NEED some, i would suggest Cheshire Cat (i am recommending this, as i have all their albums, and this is my favorite)

I really like this album... I think that the songs are very catchy, and the band has alot of energy, and seems to having alot of fun making music. The bass lines are, well, punk... i don't really know how else to explain them without being derogative. over all, a pretty rad album.

If you are a 20 year old male college student, and you want desperately to identify with something, this is the album for you. Very, Very Catchy, and at times just pure fun, Blink 182 has found out the secret to selling albums. Find a target market that hasn't been manipulated yet, and exploit the absolute hell out of it. If you've ever been to a frat party, passing the bowl around, this album was written directly off of the conversation you would hear. I find the lyrics to be trite, and redundant at times. Some of this stuff is cute, and to the party crowd "fun", but a musician may find him/herself wondering through the C.D. pile for something a little "different", because this just does not stur the creative Kool-Aid.

I liked this CD, but only for a few songs, then it began to grate and all of the tracks seemed to begin to merge together, a bit like and old Greenday CD, similar style i s'pose, not that this is necisarily a bad thing, but I think the album would have been better with a little more variation in it.

I agree with Joey on this one. Spend your hard earned money on something that doesn't suck.

OK CD, but it should be better considering they've had previous releases. A few hits like "Adam's Song," "All the Small Things," and "What's my age Again," but the rest of the songs range from decent to bad. If you don't have it, then buy something else with your money.
