Overall I would rate this amp as very good. More power and a tuner out jack would be nice. If it was ever was lost or stolen I certainly would look for another. I eventually hope to get rid of my 8x10 and pick up a 4x10 and 1x15 or 1x18 stack and see how it does.

Rack mounted (2 space) 2 channel (tube and solid state). Active low and high shelving EQ with 7 band graphic EQ.
Variable (100Hz-1kHz) third-octive crossover with frequency and balance controls. Low Z balanced line out with pre/post EQ switch. Effects sand/return jacks with high/low effects level switch. Pre and Post gain for tube channel. Tube/Solid State channel select and/or channel combine controls. 200 W into 8 ohm, 350 W into 4 ohm, 500 W into 2 ohm. No tuner send but can use effect loop if not in use.
I use no effects. Used with Peavey 810-TX cabinet. Played with Carvin LB70, mostly blues and classic rock. Nicest head I've used, but I have not owned a wide variety of heads, mostly combo amps prior to this. Very versatile, I can get a nice creamy tube sound, or tight clean but still warm solid state.
Very easy to use, even though I have probably yet to discover all the different sound possibilities...I tend to find a sound I like and leave it alone, except for room EQ tweeking.
It slid off the seat of my truck during a sudden stop, falling to floorboard and slightly bending the front faceplate. Never missed a beat...and soon after that I bought a rack case!
I prefered the T-MAX for it's price/quality.
When I will have the money, I will use the T-MAX for small gigs and purchase a Peavey Firebass 700.

Hybrid amp with tube (valve) pre-amp and solid state amp.
White faced with 7-band equaliser.
Fits to any music style due to the equalising. Compared with a Kustom, Marshall and Peavey Mark 2, it's the best I've ever used.
Sometimes the fan makes to much noise but a little vacuumcleaning helps a lot.
Easy to use and in combination with a Peavey BassFex it has a lot of different soundcolours. (Thanks to my 412TVX probably)
Very reliable on stage, everything (T-MAX & BassFex) is mounted in a rack flightcase.

This amp is very straitforward, yet versatile. It
has a tube preamp and a solid-state preamp.
These can be used independently or
combined. There's a 7-band graphic EQ and
seperate Bass & Treble controls. Finishing
out the front panel controls is a Master Volume
and Crossover Frequency & Balance. On the
back, there is an Effects Loop, Crossover
Outputs(Hi&Lo), Line Out(Pre&Post EQ),
Remote footswitch connection, and two
speaker Jacks (500watts @ 2 ohms).
I have this amp driving a pair of Mesa-Boogie
4x10 Diesel cabs and it can get quite loud! I
play a couple of different Gibson Thunderbirds
and an older Ibanez RD Series Bass through
this amp and even though each guitar has it's
own 'sound', they all sound pretty damn good
played through this setup. I've been in several
different types of rock bands, and this amp is
well suited for a variety of styles. The amp has
a real warm tone, not so sterile sounding as
my old GK.
Very easy to get a good tone. The amp sounds
real good with the controls set 'flat' and minor
tweaking here and there.
I've had this amp in and out of gigs on a
regular basis (4-5 shows a month) and it's
held up very well. No problems at all. This
thing is built like a tank!
Iv'e owned several Bass Amps!!!!!
Iv'e owned SWR,TRACE ELLIOT,and I also played through
my brother's HARTKE. All I can say is that this PEAVEY
T-MAX that I'm playing through now, totally blows them
away!!!!!! The only other amp out there, that compares to
Peavey, in my opinion,is Ampeg.
