This is very good and has excellent bass playing on it. I also would recommend Mingus Ah Um. THis record could have been better if they reissued it with better sound. The mixing seems to overdrive the sound. Mingus is the master at upright jazz solos and these arent wussy solos, these are like 3-5 minute solos that sound awesome. If you like jazz, get this album. You might not like it if you dont like jazz.
