Korean made. ABS-fibred bowl back with Flame maple top. 22 Jumbo frets on a full scale Mahogany Neck.
Controls: AEQ-41 active EQ, volume, bass, mids and treble sliders.
single saddle rosewood based brige.
Slim body profile makes this Bass "Hug" your body, its very comfortable. slight feeling of Stretch when reaching for lower notes due to long scale neck but still lovely.
Unplugged: loud and tonesome, lovely.
plugged: loud and tonesome, typical tendedncy to feedback thanks to a fiery pre-amp but managable. good EQ.
Tough Aria Build. slightly flimsy controls but they work fine.
I would definitely buy this bass again if it was lost or stolen as there doesn't seem to be anything around in this price range which offers the same quality.
Overall I'd recommend the AMB-50 to anyone whose looking for an acoustic to give them an extra bass sound. If you are looking for an acoustic to use as a primary instrument, you may like to consider something a bit more expensive.
Still, A great guitar for a reasonable price.

Features are as quoted at.... http://www.ariausa.com/series/amb50b/amb50b.html except that my model only has a 3 band EQ.
Considering this price, the features are exceptional
This is either an inherantly playable bass or was set up well by the shop prior to my purchase. I tried a couple of Fender acoustics and found them much harder to get to grips with. Although it has a reltively wide neck (compared to the Fender Jazz that I'm used to) it is still easy to play even at the top of the fretboard. Quite a large action but this seems to allow a much clearer tone and complete absence of fretbuzz.
I use this bass mainly for jamming and the acoustic tone is acceptable without amplification. It seems to improve after new strings have settled in and lost their twangyness slightly. I also run it through a 30W Laney practice amp for small acoustic gigs and this is the best sound I've yet achieved - very warm and round.
I have tried running it through my 400W Fender amp but wouldn't recommend it. The tone loses a lot of the acoustic quality and you may as well play an electric and not have to worry about feedback.
Not had the bass long enough to offer an opinion but it seems to be built as well as any german car.
I looked at a verity of bass, but chose this one because i could start with out an amp.
i would not buy this bass again if it were stolen, mainly because i would like an elctric one next.
i love the deep sound yet i would like more strings
