I chose this amp because i needed alot of power and it was only 100 bucks so i snagged it. great deal for the money.
Price: $100.00
Where Obtained: Pawn Shop
Features:
It has a pre and post gain. also has 4 knobs each for low EQ and high EQ. It is a very powerful 300 watt amp. first time i plays through it i almost fell down it was so loud.
Sound Quality:
It sounds really good with my dunlop 105Q wah pedal. i think this amp sounds really good for pretty much any kind of rock. i still prefer my crate bxh-220's sound over it though.
Ease of Use:
Its just a combo amp...what could be hard about it?
Durability:
Mine is very reliable. i had to get it worked on one time because one of the wires was loose. that was the only problem with it and it is a pretty old amp. now it works fine. IT'S A PEAVEY OF COURSE ITS BUILT LIKE A HOSS. you could drop this thing out of a plane and it'd still be together.

Overall, it'a an average amp to get into. I didn't really know it's full potential because it was a used amp when i got it, and now it's begining to fall apart. It has taken a beating over the years of use and it has proven to withstand gigs and practices. I like it because of it's bottom end, it can easily shake the ground when playing but like everything else, it can only last so long
Price: $100.00

Features:
The amp has an equalizer control with many independent knobs to configure the tone. It also has a frequency knob and don't really see the effects it does to the sound. The amp doesn't give out enough sound to keep up with the music i play. It's not recommended to play with hard rock music. Overall, it has solid state electronics.
Sound Quality:
I use a '77 Fender Jazz Bass, an Ibanez SR405 w/ active electronics, and a 5-string Washburn bass. The sound quality is overall average but it gives out when put to high volume.
Ease of Use:
I've managed pretty well to get the sound i want from this amp. It's mostly a plug and play set up when it comes to practicing with my band. This amp was basically the first one i've had and pretty much it has helped me get the sound i wanted.
Durability:
Since it's a pretty old amp, it has a lot or wear and tear on it...the sound is bad and im gettin' another amp.

I am very happy with this amp but I am worried about the age. I don't think Peavey makes this amp anymore, so if I was going to replace it, I would check out some newer amps. This amp is really heavy and newer amps would probably be smaller and lighter. If I coudn't find a newer amp like this one, I would go in search of a couple of these.

Features:
This is a single 15" combo amp with a Black Widow speaker. It runs 210 watts at 4 ohms & 300 watts at 2 ohms. It has an external speaker output, a preamp out, a power amp in, and an efx.loop. It's a single channel amp with 2 inputs. It has high and low boost swiches and a pre-amp gain as well as a master gain. The best thing about this amp is the E.Q. It has individual boost and cut knobs that range from 50hz to 8khz.
Sound Quality:
I use a U.S. Fender Precision and a Peavey Foundation as a back-up. Both basses sound good through this amp. I play a wide range of music, if it pays money, i'll play it. The flexability of this amp gives me a very creative tool. I can run an out board pre-amp straight through to the power amp,(power amp in jack), and I don't have to fight the built in pre-amp.
Ease of Use:
This amp is pretty straight forward and easy to use. It's a combo-amp, so it's easy to setup. It is kind of heavy. You can add an extra cab for large gigs and 300 watts is plenty of power. This amp also workes well for keyboards.
Durability:
This thing is bullitproof. As old as it is and as much as I use it, I've only had to have a ground wire re-solderd once. Being a Peavey, It's easy to find someone to work on it.
