GOOD DURABLE AMP JUST NOT AN AMP FOR EVERYONE.
Price: $420.00
Where Obtained: USED CONSIGNMENT
Features:
TWIN TRIODE TUBE PRE-AMP IS VERY NICE,YOU CAN DIAL IN JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OVERALL SOUND OF THE AMP BEING AN AQUIRED TASTE.THINK OF A WARM SMOOTH OVERALL TONE NO MATTER HOW YOU SET THE EQ.
Sound Quality:
FINGER STYLE IS FOR ME THE MOST APPLICABLE.GOOD FOR BLUES JAZZ FINGER FUNK AND COUNTRY.ITS IN A CATEGORY OF ITS OWN, IF YOU LIKE THE SOUND OF A GK THEN YOU WONT LIKE THIS HEAD.I HAVE AN AMPEG B2RE AND IT CAN GET THE EDEN SOUND BUT ALSO CROSS OVER INTO THE HIGH FREQ SLAP TAP SOUND.THIS HEAD IS NOISY BUT NOT TERRIBLY NOISY.
Ease of Use:
ITS A LITTLE TRICKY AT FIRST BECAUSE OF ALL THE OPTIONS BUT AFTER A WHILE OF GIGGING WITH IT YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH SET IT AND LEAVE IT.
Durability:
I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MINE AND I LOVE ITS COMPACT SIZE

I'd buy more if this one was stolen, I don't see it breaking down in the future, nothing to make it better it's great
Model Year: 2000
Price: $800.00 CDN
Where Obtained: L&M
Features:
Tons of equalizer, and frequency adjustments. A killer compressor, sounds too good to be true.
Sound Quality:
I use a Kinal MK5B and a Warwick Fortress Masterman and they both sound great, especially the kinal. Not noisy no distortion, great for any style.
Ease of Use:
Easy a breathing!!!
Durability:
After mankind is extinct, this amp will be the only source of evidence left.

Get it, Get it, Get it, Get it, or at least try it. You are doing your self and your sound a grave injustice by not having this amp. If you gig alot than this is your guy. I suggest getting the David Eden 4x10 cab with it. Thats what I have and it sounds absolutly incredible. I have tryed other Eden cabs with it and they sound good, but not as good as this one. I heavily recomend this amp to any gigging bass player.
Price: $2500.00 canada (new)
Where Obtained: sherwood music kitchener on.ca.
Features:
This amp has all the features i want and more. It has a semi perametric EQ, built in compressor(which is really a limiter), built in adjustable DI, efects loops, tunner output, 2 quarter inch 4 ohm speaker outs and a crapload of power. This amp is so light in wieght that I can carry it under one arm while I carry my bass with absolute ease. This amp is both tube abd solid state. it's called the valve-tech series.
Sound Quality:
I don't think there is enogh space for me to go on about the sound quality, so I will try to shorten my praise. Finally I have found my ideal bass sound. This amp really has an amazing natural tone and a ton of power. I can get the bottom i've always dreamed of and the punchyness I've only ever heard but have never been able to get. This amp sounds great loud aswell as quiet and you can play dynamically with ease and you will not loose any quality. I really can't say enough about the sound of this amp
Ease of Use:
This amp is astonishingly easy to use. I pretty much just leave it flat . It sounds great naturally. But of course every room is different and I do adjust per room or sometimes per song and I can do this within seconds. It did take a little while for me to get the hang of the controls and getting the best sound out of it but now that I understand about semi perametric EQ's it is alot easyer. Abother good point about the ease of use with this amp is it's wieght, it is amazingly light which, as I'm sure we all know, is a very apreciated feature.
Durability:
I haven't owned this amp for very long so I can't really comment on the durrability of it but I know that since I've owned it I have used it for over 40 gigs and it hasn't even hicupped. I've played it out doors in the sun, In the rain under a covered stage(altho I wouldn't recomend playing it in moisture. You should follow the warnings), In doors under exteme temperatures and it has held up with no problems

I looked into buying an Ampeg SVT classic, and also looked into the SWR line of bass amps. What really attracted me into the Eden line of amps was the fact that they pump out high wattage and aren't a total pain in the rear to carry around with you. The WT400 weighs only 17 lbs. and pumps a whopping 400 watts, you can't beat that, especially if you're only looking to play small clubs and not arenas. I would have bought the Ampeg but the idea of lugging 80 lbs. of tubes didn't appeal to me (for some odd reason). I am glad I bought this amp. I love the sound and I love the ease of use.
Price: $770.00 (new)
Where Obtained: eBay
Features:
This amp rates 400 watts @4ohms. the limiter is defeatable and the built in compressor (while very nice) is bypassable. It has a tube pre-amp and a solid state power amp. The enhance knob is a very nice feature, making it easier to scoop mids and push more lows into your overall sound.
Sound Quality:
I am currently using a highly modified 1983 Fender Precision bass. The Eden WT400 is suitable for pretty much any style of music, IMHO. This is probably one of the most versatile and best sounding amps I have ever had the luxury of owning. The only other amp I can see myself buying would have to be the WT800, just so I can power two 4x10 cabs instead of one.
Ease of Use:
The parametric EQ is very sensitive, which makes it easy to come up with a million different tones for your bass sound. on most other amps, you have to give the knob a big turn to notice a difference in your sound, this just isn't the case with this amp.
Durability:
I just purchased this amp not too long ago, so far it has held up very well. I keep it in a 4 space rack case with 2 single space vents on both top and bottom spaces. The amp comes fitted with metal "dog ears" so it is able to attach to any standard rack unit (the amp isn't very wide, without the ears it wouldn't reach both sides of the rack). I always carry a spare tube with me, just in case the one already in it poops out on me.

It's great except it is sometimes unreliable. Because of this I have to give it a low overall review. I never know if it's going to go down at a gig.
Model Year: 1998
Price: $800.00 Canadian
Features:
Bass & Treble shelving controls, 3-band Quasi-Parametric Tone Con trol (Low, Mid, High), and of course the Enhance Conrol.
Sound Quality:
-I use it with 2 Kinal five strings, a Fodera five string, and a custom Hozono fretless.
-I play all styles.
-The sound is very warm in comparison to other amps.
-If I ever have any noise it is usually silenced by switching the provided ground lift switch.
Ease of Use:
-It always sounds great flat, right out of the gate.
-I usually run it pretty flat.
Durability:
-I have had some problems with reliability. It sometimes shuts off when it over heats and I can't seem to find out if it's internal or just that the fan is to weak. I'm still working on a soulution but until I find one I always bring a back up amp to larger gigs.
