I looked at other amps in the price range, and this is the most power for the dollar available. This amp would be alot better if it had built in castors caus as i said before, it is a monster. If i lost this i would look in another peavy, but mabye a head and cab instead of a combo but oh well.

It features a 7 band EQ, an effects loop, and a built in compressor (which i never turn off). I play a lot of fusion and a little rock and i can dial up pretty much any tone i want to with a couple turns of the knobs. It has solid state electonics which is one of the reasons why i bought it.
I have a fender standerd jazz bass and a squier p-bass and i love the sound i get from both, i also use a zoom effect peddel which sounds great through the loop. I think you could probably play any kind of music with it because of the EQ. It is only a little noisy when i turn the tone knob all the way up but other then that it is fine.
If this thing gets a five on one thing it is this, this puppy is a MONSTER 110 pounds, thick side wood, never had to repair it, play it live often, its great.
