I chose this amp because it was the largest Hartke amp that could still be carried by one person. I didn't have to ask for help every time I moved my amp, but I also wanted enough power for just about any situation. All in all this was a good choice, and quite comparable to amps of its size and price range. I prefer a front-panel effects loop, but other than that I'm pretty happy with it.
Model Year: 2002
Price: $679.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Musiciansfriend.com
Features:
This amp has just about everything you could need in a bass amp. Compression, 10-band equalizer with contour controls, high/low inputs, and seperate tube and solid state amplifier controls.
Sound Quality:
Used with an Ibanez EDC705, Tobias Toby Pro-6B, and a Kramer 422S is sounds pretty good - accurate reproduction of the signal that's put into it. The quality is good all-around, but is not the best that I've heard. With the equalizer you can tailor it to your liking.
Ease of Use:
Non-programmable, but the knobs are clearly labelled and there's no need for the manual. Monkeys could and have operated this thing.
Durability:
I've only had it two months, but it's built like a tank. It should last forever unless I drop it down a flight of stairs. Even then it might survive. Hartke amps are pretty sturdy, I'll give it a 5 from the build quality alone.

I would definatly go Hartke again. I have found other amps with a sound I preferred better with certian basses, but overall construction and durability combine with a good tone with all of my basses makes the 2115 a good choice for anyone.
Price: $600.00 (new)
Where Obtained: American Musical Supply
Features:
Pretty standard for an amp really. It has full EQ and seperate knobs for tube and solid state, which is nice for tone reasons. The effects loop can be pretty handy I suppose. Since I don't use effects I really wouldn't know. I have had this thing for years now, and I have yet to turn it up past midway, even in those loud rock n' roll clubs.
Sound Quality:
The sound is very bright. This could be due to the aluminum speaker. The 2115 is suited well for Rock n' Roll, but I have gotten a great jazz tone with my Fender J strung with flatwounds. It has performed well in many different situations, rock, country, jazz, blues, never once let me down.
Ease of Use:
With just about everything on the face and clearly labeled it is not hard to dial up a good tone virtually right away.
Durability:
In over five years of gigging, the 2115 has held up well. I have yet to replace anything, even a tube. It has never even been in a repair shop. But just like anything, it needs to be taken care of.

I played on several other 2x15 cabs, including a SWR. Why did I walk away with this one? Well, for starters, price. Second, sound. Sounded just as good, only a hell of a lot less money. You go play one and be the judge.
Model Year: 2000
Price: $500.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Apple Music
Features:
2 15" aluminum cone Hartke custom speakers dura-tuff carpet covering light weight dual ported cab
Sound Quality:
Paired with a 3500 Hartke amp, and a Cort 5 string, this amp got the punchiest, lowest, and just plain most invigorating sound I have heard out of a 2x15 bass cab. Ever. Low distortion, high response, and full sound make this a great stand along cab, or incredible with a bi-amped system.
Ease of Use:
It doesn't take a lot of messing with the eq to get this cab to haul a-- on the low end. Period.
Durability:
It has relatively good construction, but don't let that fool you. Unless you drop this thing out the back of your truck on the freeway, or plan on taking it to the shooting range, you'll be fine.
