This is the best bass bar none that I have had the pleasure to use. It is so much better then everything else I have played that I can't really express the difference. I have a 5 string schector studio deluxe that is a great bass and that I intend to keep but it does not come up to the sound and excellent looks of the peavey custom.
Model Year: 2007
Price: $1999.00 (new)
Where Obtained: ebay seller
Features:
Alder body, maple and purple heart neck, birdseye maple fretboard, active electronics (3 way, tone and volume), natural hand rubbed finish
Playability:
The lowest playable action I have ever seen. Very adjustable in all ways.
Sound Quality:
Has as wide a range of sounds and tones as I have seen on a bass without a pedal. It is dead silent and studio grade.
Durability:
This is good for all settings

I looked at an ibenaz 6 and a fender 5.I choose the peavey because of it's style, the feel and sound.those active pickups make other basses sound a little weak.I will always have a peavey bass.always.If this bass can be improved i want one.
Model Year: 2002
Price: $850.00
Where Obtained: music store
Features:
I use to play lead but now i play the 6 string peavey,so i feel right at home.I love the size and the feel of the neck.
Playability:
The neck is like nothing i've ever seen.it's what they call a threw the body neck.solid.The neck is wide but it feels right for me.
Sound Quality:
I use nothing but ampeg when it comes to amps, and a boss reverb peddle just brings out more of the flavor of that peavey.crisp highs the lows are so fat, man.I love my peavey.
Durability:
This bass feels like a rock to me.I've had this bass about a year and it's been adjusted one time. The bass is in good shape.
