This is a very good amp. Of course it would not work for large gigs, and it maybe a little quite for medium gigs. But for practicing it works perfect. The tones you can get are amazing. The only real gripe is the fact that I can't quite get "my tone" out of it. Just needs a tweeter in it and it would be perfect
Price: $300.00
Where Obtained: The House of Guitars
Features:
This things is loaded with knobs galore. This can be both good and bad. It may take you some time to get "Your sound" but it is eventually worth it. This amp comes complete with a low boost/cut and a high boost/cut knob. There is also a 7 band equalizer so you get lots of different tones. Then there are the "deep" "notch and "bright" buttons, so you can change your tone real quickly if needed. It is 100 watts, and has one 15" speaker. It dosn't get especially loud, but works fine with one quitarest and a drummer.
Sound Quality:
Because of all the knobs, switches, and buttons, you can get basically any tone you want. A very good thing. It runs at 8 ohms, so it sounds great. My only gripe is that it is hard to get all the highs I want out of it. But considering it is a 15" speaker with no tweeter, it isn't too bad.
Ease of Use:
It isn't especially easy to use, you have to mess around with it for a while to get it how you want it to sound. But it is all worth it. It isn't especially hard either, it just takes some time getting used to, then you will appreciate all the features.
Durability:
It seems durable to me. However I don't want to test that out. It has recessed handles, and weighs quite a bit. Everything seems sturdy when moved around, nothing seems to rattle about.
