This bass is my second bass, but its a great bass. I love the sound it makes, and I love the feel of it! Such a great bass which I love playing!
Price: $1100.00 AU
Where Obtained: Second Hand
Features:
Mexican made bass Jazz bass. 24 frets, bass, treble, volume and pickup selection nobs and pots. 2 Jazz pickups. Active Electronics. Small jazz body. Very light bass.
Playability:
I can get a nice low action on this bass (the way I like it!) Nice smooth, easy playing neck. Plays really well!
Sound Quality:
I sometimes use this bass through my Digitech BP200 effects. Sounds Really good, but its natural tone is really fat and warm. I reackon it could play most music styles, but its best for jazz, funk, pop, rock, ska, ect. The sound of this bass craps all over my old bass (Ibanez SR300DX) Its warm, bright, and really fat. Great for both stage and studio
Durability:
Haven't had it for long, but its about 10 years old, and I know its last two owners. Held up quite nicely, only has one minor scratch. It does well in all climates!

I don't know if this is only because of how much I've grown accustumed to this bass but I would say it's a great option. I guess the only thing about I don't like is really the pickups, but other than that I'd reccomend it to anyone. I guess the US made probably comes with a better pickup
Model Year: 1999
Features:
Well it's a very good bass 24-frets,active 4-string it's made in mexico, the only reason I said it's average it's because the pickups aren't that great, but I'm soon going to change it for a double MusicMan model Seymor Duncan pickup, which was told me will solve my problem besides that it's a great bass, and I have no complaints I'd reccomend it to anyone
Playability:
The playability is great, smooth, and I guess I wouldn't point any flaws on that
Sound Quality:
Unfortunately, due to the pickups, this bass isn't very good for funky stuff, but that can be replaced. The pickup that came with works better with that really low sound, and slapping stuff usually just sounds good when the string is really new. Sometimes you can hear some weird noises but only if you're playing with a bad amplifier
Durability:
I've only had this bass for 2 years, but I think it's safe to say the durability is pretty good because I've never had any problems with it, it almost never goes out of tune and it's reliable for live playing, definetely
