Lowest action I have seen with no fret noise. Very comfortable neck - compares well with the best of the Fender line.
Sound Quality:
Good tone with some varation due to pickup configuration and active EQ.
Durability:
I have never had to make any adjustments on this bass. Haedware is rock solid. Stays in tune even when subjected to drastic temperature changes.

The best aspect is that I got a top notch bass for about 500 dollars when I know people with basses that cost about a 1000 that want to have mine. I has such great tone, tone, tone. I would have to seek depression counciling if this bass were stolen and then I would go out and buy another one.
Model Year: 2002
Price: $489.95 (new)
Where Obtained: Musician's Friend
Features:
This bass was made in Mexico but let me tell IT DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL!! I have only had this axe one week and I know I will never sell it! The tone is out of this world. I got the one with a maple neck, candy apple red finish and a gold anodized pickguard that puts off this really different sort of glow in a low light club setting. The combo p and j pickups are what make this bass a little known gold mine of tone. I play Texas Country music so I crave that edgy rock tone that originated in the Blues to diferentiate my tone from top 40 country you would hear on the radio. If you wanna know more go to fender.com
Playability:
Straight out of the box this bass was ready to go. I like the fact that the strings were further apart from what I was used to. Also Fender srings are damn good. The J neck makes the action faster and easier and the maple neck makes it easier for me to bend the strings. There are no flaws in the playability of this guitar.
Sound Quality:
I use a SWR 15" with a Boss compression and an enhancer/limiter pedal. This bass can get a little higher than it can lower but I can get harmonics at low frequencies with it. I am considering upgrading the tuners when they eentually get loose though righ now they are fine. I don't really care about a string through bridge though. I plan to take this axe to the studio to see waht it sounds like really soon.
Durability:
Everything is great so far, just got it though.

Made In Mexico, satin finish neck, 2 volume 1 tone knob, passive electronics, precission body jazz neck,
Playability:
It was set up perfect right out of the box ( so to speak ), The only basses that i've played that compare to it are 3 times the price, the only flaw is that the input jack isnt held in very strong
Sound Quality:
It sounds like it has active pikups, but it doesnt. The sound is full and warm. Its works well with Rock and R and B/soul music.
Durability:
Very reliable. Holds up well.

I think that precission bass is the best ever built, this one is maded in mexico and the quality is excellent, everybody that plays my bass want to buy it XD. The worst aspect of my bass is... I have it for a year! I buy it so late! the owner won't to sell it.

I use to play some kind of "dirty" blues This bass WANTS to play Funky The soud can be changed in very many ways, it can soud warm, metalic, hmmm not specially good for play Heavy metal. Is the second best bass i've ever played (once a friend pass me a 70's Mustang and it was ...)

I love this through my Hartke 60 watt amp. If i put it on 3 it shakes the roof down...due to the 2 pick ups i can get a warm sound or that tight punchy sound

Sorry, I selected this bass by accident when trying to review the standard series Squier P-bass by Fender. My mouse slipped. If anyone knows how to delete a review they have submitted please tell me! I can't seem to figure it out...
