A really great bass. The small scale would suit young beginners or players with small hands. Its easy to play, has a great sound and has held up well for over twenty years.

Its a small 30 scale, with one precision style pickup in the central position and one humbucker at the end of the fretboard. All passive electronics. Two volume controls and one tone knob.
The smaller scale of this bass makes it extremely easy to play, especially if your used to a 34 scale p-bass. It was simple to get a good sound out of this bass, for any kind of music.
For an old bass its still sounding great. I played mostly rock music on it and it was great. But its great for any style of music.
The Mustang i played had been around for a long time, with several different owners. The paint had takin a fare share of knocks and scrapes but the bass still sounded great. Although the strap lock did come off once.
I looked at any bass that I could get my hands on and the moment that I picked it up I knew that I had to have it. I spent over a year looking and it was well worth the time.

It is Americian made maple and black. It is 4 string with pasive pick ups. It is perfect condition and had only one own before me.
Out of any bass that I have picked up it feels like it wants to sing. The neck is smaller so you don't need to big of hands to play it.
This guitar is perfect, it has great tone. I use it for all types of music both in the studio and on stage.
It stays in tune very well. It does not change to much with the climate.
I looked at a bunch of peavy stuff ansd yes i would buy it again this bass would be better if it had active pickups

It has a small body let sweet sound
Having a short neck you must play up high more
Iuse a fender bassman 70 head with a jbl cabient i played gospel and country along with 60;s style rock it has a warm sound i have never used it in a studio so i dont know how it sounds thier
It does just find when playing live i have never had to make any adjustments in a long time all the hardware is origale
It was a good bass to start out on, and a good bass to begin learing fretless because of the short scale, you don't have to stretch as hard. That's good in the beginning as you spend long hours without the best technique. Still very playable. Would I replace it, probably not, but I'd just be glad that I had it for a while.

Short scale, 30" maple neck. Single split pickup, passive
two knobs - volume and tone. The tone might as well be a switch instead of a knob, it got two sounds, muddy and bright. String-thru bridge. The body was refinished a metalic green, and the frets have been removed.
The short scale is easy on the fingers. The neck is like a baseball bat with a flat top, which feels very solid. The action is low, and setup is pretty easy.
The sound is a little weak. The entry level pickups don't have a large dynamic range and the lack of size also gives it a lack of sustain. I am considering changing the pickups, but not sure if the bass is worth the cost to change them out. there seems to be a grounding issue which causes a hiss if you let go of the strings.
It is very solid, and for being nearly 30 years old, it is in very good shape. The tuners are tight and smooth. It doesn't need adjusting often, and holds a setup well.
