I compared and played several basses before buying this one. I really like the sound and the playability. It just fits me.

This is an American made bass with a rosewood fretboard. It has 2 sets of stacked knobs for volume, pan between pick-ups, bass, and trebel. It also has a four position knob: off, active, active with mid boost, and passive. It has the typical jazz shape and pick up configuration. The body is silver and black with no pick guard and the bridge and tuners are chrome.
This bass is very comfortable. It is really light weight but a little heavy at head. The action can be set really low. The neck is fairly narrow with rounded edges, nice and smooth.
I play it through a Yorkville XM100, no effects. The sound quality is really versatile. You can set this bass up to sound any way you like it. I like to play a deep, rich tone.
This bass holds the tuning very well. I have yet to adjust the truss rod and I keep the action pretty low, no buzzing. All of the hardware is in great condition.
I saw it and after trying it I had to have it

American, active electronics with Fender-Lace Sensors, sunburst color, Gotoh tuners, Schaller strap-locks
Fast neck, enormous amount of sounds (both active and passive), especially when I run it through a Gallien-Kreuger MBE. I also have a small Fender RAD amp, but it's not as versatile as the MBE.
Active electronics don't add anything special.
Would like the action set-up better for slapping.
Very predictable soundwise.

Not the quickest action, but can be ajusted to be very comfortable.
Wide range of tones, a little confusing.
A little hard (neck-wise) for slapping.
Excellent for blues or rock.
Can be made dark and warm.
