I used the Pandora's Box on factory default setting 'JP' to synchopate the notes. The level setting on the Pandora's Box was at 24. On the Carvin, the bass and treble knobs are set all the way on, the midrange all the way off. The humbucker pickup is on, and the pickup knob is set in the middle setting.

I'm just a hobbyist, so I can't comment much about theory and style. I played the clarinet as a kid (all of the members in the family). I became interested in the bass guitar after I finished learning the bass clarinet. The bass is (to me) the very best instrument, and I just want to be able to master the bass as best I can before I die or get old and arthritic! I listen to and would like to play much like the featured bassists on Active Bass, and like many of those who submit MP3s, which is a great idea, by the way.
