Dream Band?

If you could see a band of random musicians thrown together (alive or dead) to write a studio album and do a tour, who would be the musicians that you would put together?

My dream band would have to be:
Chris Robinson (Crowes)-vox
Tres Anestasio (Phish)-guitar
Buddy Miles (Band of Gypsys)-Drums
Jack Bruce (The Cream)-Bass
Gregg Allman (The Allman Bros.)-Hammond B3 Organ

I like the line-ups... but one questions... where is Rick Wakeman (YES) on keyboards? He is a keyboard wizard in the truest sense... YES records only scratch the surface, live he is ridiculous!

So...
Vocals: Billy Corgan
Guitar: Joe Satriani
Guitar: Tim Reynolds (need some acoustic stlye, cause Satch can do everything else!)
Bass: Me, since its my dream band... and Stu Hamm for when I need a break :)
Drums: The Dream Theatre Guy... I know no drummers
Keys: Rick Wakeman (YES)

Best comeback I've seen in a while Dave.

And, I might add, 'try singing it' while playing bass one handed AND/OR playing keyboards and pedal bass. Like his voice or not, the man is a musical genius.

We used to cover a lot of Rush in my former band. I sang it... I know how hard it can be. We used to do 2112. I tried and tried to make it look cool like it was easy. But as my face turned redder and the veins where popping out of my neck it became more of a matter of surviving till I hit the chorus and could breath again.

I visit at least once a day, but the topics/posts have been few and far between where I feel I can contribute.

There has been a social change in the way people interact on the internet, particularly with the advent of the likes of facebook.

Peoples' lives also change and the economy has probably wiped a few of our stalwarts out too.

I remember in the day when we attempted the "Ivan rescue' from some of his church congregation bent on removing his ministry and we all banded together to write a petition etc. The posts per day then were in between 50 and 150 YET when I did the work to contact all the people to help out, there were only about 35 regulars, maybe 40 and I was astonsihed there were actually so few - it always seemed like ther were hundreds!

I know for fact that personal tragedies have taken at least 6 of our regular members out of the play, three of them having attempted to take their own lives, None of them succeeding thankfully, but their lives have completely changed.

I get saddened ike you Paul about the way it is today on AB, depsite Chris and Jim rejuvenatung the site However, I console myself with the great memories of the 'good old days' and the genrous people I met when I did the "AB tour of USA 2007"

Nothing really takes the place of AB in my mind in terms af the fun and comeraderie we all shared.
