EV 400w 8ohm Cab

Hey all... time to pick better bass brains than mine.
Some of you may know that I've been lucky enough to acquire an EV LTD Bass cab.. these were assembled in Australia using parts imported from the USA, they were available in 2 versions, a standard 200w 8ohm cab and a limited edition 400w 8ohm beast with a gold ??????? driver (I've done my homework and actualy recieved an email from one of the blokes that built MY cab in the 1990s).
OK question is..... Im after a bass head to team up with my cab... preferably all valve or a combo of both. This unit will NOT be used for giging, home/studio use only.
Suggestions please !!!!.

Plod.

Nice to see you here again Paul. AB has been a little slow lately and seeing any of the 'old guard' posting is great. So how have you been lately?

As for the question in your post I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions since I'm more of a solid state kind of guy. I hate the idea of having to buy tubes. They are so hard to find around here.

Hey Paul... good to hear from you too..
I've been ducking in and out of AB watching the changes and I thought it was time to come back, I love the new look !!!!
You may know I left the NSW Police last year to persue my love of cooking, I've had a couple of long term casual contracts but nothing permanent as yet but I'm not giving up.
How have you been mate and hows The Brick ? I love seeing pics of that little feller.

Cheers.

Paul.

The new look is nice. Some of the additional functionality is really welcome as well. I think most users agree that it's great.

I didn't know that Paul. Somhow I'd missed that.

It's really great that you are persuing something you love. It can be tough but ultimately it's worth it. I love being self employed. I have the best boss in the world. lol

Well I've been really good. Business is really growing and never ceases to be fun and challenging.

Ok, I'm afraid you've got me here. The Brick? Are you refering to my old Rickenbacker? If so I sold it. I never did get used to the neck. I found Ibanez Soundgear basses suit me much better so I have two of them now. The necks are just right for me and I find I play much better with them, well in a relative way. hahaha

What's not wrong with me? hahahaha

I just couldn't get used to the neck. I wasn't playing it much so I decided it was better to sell it than keep it as a wall hanger. I'm so glad I did too since I bought the SR500 and some more home studio gear. I'm now a complete Ibanez Soundgear fan. I'd like one in every color. lol

I only have two so far but I want more. It's hard to go back when you've experienced/played perfection.
