Site Changes

So I just put in a redesign, and also a reworking of the foundation upon which AB rests. Should be a lot speedier and easy to use for the foreseeable future.

One main piece that's missing is the search, but this will reappear in a few weeks.

Now that WholeNote and ActiveBass both have their base functionality back, I'll be working to improve the tools on both sites to make sharing of musical info easier.

If you're having problems with sound playback, make sure you look at the sound help page:

http://www.activebass.com/help/sound

Should work fine in Chrome, Firefox, and IE8+. When in doubt, (re)install Quicktime. Also, there seems to be a bit of a pause (~4-5 sec) the first time you start any kind of playback, as whatever helper app your browser is using takes time to load. But all subsequent playback should be speedy.

Anyway, with such change, there are bound to be bugs, so under the 'And More' link at the top, there's a bugs/suggestions link which you can use to tell me what's amiss, should you feel inclined.

Very nice upgrade...haven't been here in a couple of weeks, so it was a nice surprice when I logged on this morning.

I'm having a problem when trying to isert a scale into a post. There is no way out of it once you input the scale. The insert scale window stays up and I can't find any way to get out of it.

I figured it out. When it says insert scale I hit that and then it says "OK". But then the box stays up there. If I right click beside it on the Fretbuzz page then it goes away.

It stays up there in case you make a mistake after hitting Insert and want to keep revising.

The scale tool is one-way, meaning if you use it, and then dismiss it, and then use it again, what you previously did is gone, except for any related text that may have inserted into your post the first time it was used.

In every type of these popups, there's also an 'X' in the upper-right hand corner, which you can click to dismiss the popup.
