could you get ideas for chord progressions that might not occur to you from this chart? sure! Will you walk away having gained knowledge of chordal relationships? probably not. Unfortunately, the author of this chart (I read the description on his website a few times to make sure he wasn't designing his chart with theoretical concepts I wasn't familiar with) is presenting this chart as a chart of "strong chordal relationships", without answering the question, "are these the only strong chordal relationships?" or "what constitutes a strong chordal relationship?". Anyone who has learned more than 5 songs from any genre will know immeditely that there are missing pairs, but this chart is (in the authors words) designed for students. If they were HIS students, i'm sure he would explain the obvious, but why post it on the internet without the all important "but"?

It's not that bad...
.basically the "C" is "Home"...all the other chords are built of of that C chord...using the "C" you can play an F chord with a C bass and the same with the G using a C bass.. also from the C you can play the 2nd, 6th, M7th, M9th and sus chords.....they all intertwine.. hope that helps.a little...
