String height and tapping

I am trying to find out if there is the perfect bass for tapping. I have two basses and i have the old problem of fret buzz. I am trying to get the height of the strings as low as possible without the buzz on the E, jeez its hard.

The second part of question, is there the perfect guitar neck for tapping or slapping, like Marcus Miller whom i admire greatly. His is the sound i am trying to get.

Please be gentle with me and if you find these questions amusing, then make thej okes funny, ok.

question #1: it's all in the setup. Go to a qualified repair person and tell them what you want to do. If they are good, they will do it, or tell you it can't be done with your bass. 95% of the time, it will be the former.

question #2: Marcus Miller taps? Post a link, I have never heard of him doing that. His signature bass has a maple fingerboard.
