I have a 1981 Ibanez Roadster (not the RoadSTAR)...Picked her up a number of years ago for $350...and am quite certain I could get around that for her

I might try to get my hands on some sort of Blue Book as well, just as a guide to see what those numbers are.

I may trade a guitar for it ... but not sure, not really playing a lot of music these days. Hopefully that will improve!! I have a 1980 Blazer 6 string guitar that is similar style to the bass.

Blazers are some excellent workhorses. They are built to last and with excellent wood (that's what she said). As Ed said, depends on the condition, but a natural finished Blazer (I believe all Blazers had maple neck/fretboards) retains a higher value for cosmetic reasons - paints/finishes display scratches and chips far more than a natural finish. You usually don't find them under $300 on ebay (unless the person who is selling it doesn't know what they have). Personally, I would pay up to $400 for one in good condition because I know that bass will probably outlive me if I take care of her. Good Hunting!!
