But, since you brought it up. I am about half
injun. To me, "Native American" means anyone who
was born in America.

Before the white folks showed up, there was never
any word that meant all of us as a whole. Each
nation called themselves a different name, and
often the names they had for other nations were
not very polite. Therefore Indian, Injun, or even
less complimentary names are acceptable to me. It
is silly to get offended over words.

However I always twitch a little when someone
calls me "Chief."
