I had surgery to rpair rotator cuff tear in Feb. Lately I have been getting alot of pain during therapy. Told my doctor that I was not making any progress. He said to get an MRI and xray. He told me that my shoulder did not heal and I need another surgery. I was shocked and can't believe it. I don't want to relive that hell. I haven't played in the band since January last year, I'm really bummed.

That sucks Pat...you really have to take it easy with rotator cuff injuries...

Have you thought about perhaps trying one of those smaller basses like a Steinberger?

ha...I wish I made the big bucks...although I'm hoping my lateral move/promotion eventually leads to more $$.

I've worked through rotator cuff injuries that were a result of heavy lifting, but was lucky that nothing tore.

I've never had a rotator injury before, my shoulder when I move it from my side to a position of picking a glass up sounds like a gravel road if you were riding a bike on it and it hurts like there's glass in there. Now before the surgery it did not hurt as bad as now and it did not crack or grind

No loose bone fragment. Its cause my tendon is not attached to help lift the arm and my arm bone isn't where its suppose to be. Its too far away from my collar bone. Like most people arm bone and collar bone is an inch apart, mine is 3 inches apart>>>>NOT GOOD<<<<< so Next Monday in the AM 2nd surgery to hopefully correct it.

Wow, that hurts, and will effect your playing for the time being. A good sound surgery and some relaxtion will cure the ill. You will be back playin in 4 months; as George Harrison once said all things must pass. P.S if you get vicodin or oxys we can make a deal just kidding, get well.
