Surgery again

I had surgery to rpair rotator cuff tear in Feb. Lately I have been getting alot of pain during therapy. Told my doctor that I was not making any progress. He said to get an MRI and xray. He told me that my shoulder did not heal and I need another surgery. I was shocked and can't believe it. I don't want to relive that hell. I haven't played in the band since January last year, I'm really bummed.

Hey Pat,

I got a very sore right shoulder last year and it took more than a year before the pain got away! Playing bass was quite a special mission during that period! Strange thing was that during a gig I felt nothing, after the gig however, I had to pack my shoulder with cold ice-packs...I hope you will recover totally meanwhile...chin up and hoping for the best!

Sean ;)

It does suck you see Dave I have diabetes and I don't heal well. Thats why I have to have it again. The Doc said I will start therapy much later to make sure my shoulder stronger. I wouldn't wish this on anybody Dave. I miss playing in the band but I don't see it happenning. I am elated that BWC has approved my second surgery, I heard you have been honored to play bass w/ some cool guys, congrats Dave!

Im really sorry Pat. I cant even imagine not being able to play. Its just such a big part of me. No matter if I play in a band or not I will ALWAYS play and write music. I hope it goes better for you the second time around.

I did get a nice offer but the situation is fluid. They are moving the show in September to October. But, they still want to do a show in September. They are talking to three singers about it but well see if and how it all pans out.

Wishing you the best my friend!

Dave

Hey Don a friend of mine had her knee replaced and they broke her femor pounding the replacement in, so her recovery sucked. She couldn't get up and walk around before her leg healed, so good luck there!
