Sounds like there may be a loose solder connection somewhere or loose input jack. Best bet is to check the wiring for anything loose or a bad solder. (Take it back where you bought it from - if it's new it should be under warranty - and have them fix it)


Have you tried switching cables (probably not the problem if it's not doing the same thing with your Yamaha)

Is it light static and popping, or is it heavy
duty noise with signal drop out? If it's quiet
noise, you might check for something that could be
causing interference and double check your
cables. I've heard that noise with tweed and
braided jacket cables a lot.

If it's really loud popping and static, my first
bet would be a faulty output jack. This could
either be a bad connection where the jack connects
to the rest of the circuit, or internal to the
jack, probably caused by the prong that connects
with the jack's sleeve being shot. Either fix the
bad connection to the wires, or install a new
